SLEEP

Andy Warhol
USA 1963
321 min
V'05

Originally, the film was supposed to last for 8 hours, now it's down to 5 and a half. Sleep shows several perspectives and body parts of a sleeping young man (John Giorno), being repeated several times. Warhol still made use of a complex montage, he stopped using in his later films. \"In July 1963, Andy started shooting. It was simple shooting. I loved to sleep. I was sleeping the whole time, 12 hours a day, day by day.\" (John Giorno)
