In a seemingly perfect place, a man is no longer able to count: he can’t remember what comes after six. No matter how hard he tries, after he reaches six, there is nothing but silence. Loosely inspired by the work of Russian avant-garde author Daniil Kharms, FÄLLE operates outside the realm of logic. Yet by placing us before the absurdity of our protagonist’s misadventures, Mischa Hedinger and Michela Flück reflect on power dynamics in pointed fashion. Humorous and uncanny, FÄLLE is a very contemporary ode to the avant-garde. (Rebecca De Pas)
