Become a member of the jury and award the prize of the STANDARD public jury at the Viennale from 24 October to 6 November 2019 in Vienna.
You find the conventional film offer in the cinema too monotonous? We are looking for five film freaks, cinephile experts or simply cinema enthusiasts who, as a STANDARD public jury, will select a film from twelve Viennale festival contributions that has not yet found a distributor in Austria by the time of the festival. This film of your heart should be given a regular start in Austrian cinemas. DER STANDARD provides advertisements for this film.
In addition to its main task - viewing and discussing the films - the STANDARD audience jury is also a guest at all Viennale festivals during the festival and has the opportunity to get to know international filmmakers as well as the Viennale team.
Please note the modalities:
The twelve festival entries in the competition for the STANDARD Audience Jury Prize are divided into twelve festival days. The screening of all twelve films is obligatory for each jury member. For the duration of the festival you should therefore have twelve days off or be very flexible. The film screenings take place daily between 11 a.m. and midnight. In between, jury sessions are also held, and you can of course watch other Viennale films with your accreditation in addition to the twelve jury films.
We look forward to receiving your application with letter of motivation and curriculum vitae by Friday, 27 September 2019 at the latest. The STANDARD film editorial team will select five jury members from all applicants by Friday, 11 October 2019.
