Ost und West, directed by Sidney M. Goldin, zeroes in on the American girl Molly, the daughter of a Jewish millionaire who had emigrated to the US. Instead of cooking, sewing or praying, Molly spends her leisure time boxing, dancing and reading. Consequently, a meeting with her orthodox Jewish relatives from Europe is bound to end up in misunderstandings. When Molly stages a fake marriage with a Talmud pupil, the marriage suddenly proves valid.
