Born in Portugal in 1974. He studied film at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Lisbon in 1998 and founded the production company O Som e a Fúria. He shot several short films, including SEM MOVIMENTO (2000), A SERPENTE (2005) and MERCURIO (2010) as well as his first feature film A ZONA (2008).
