Young Mr. Lincoln

The film describes atmospherically very dense the beginnings of the juridical career of the later American president. In a murder case the clever autodidact Lincoln reduces the complicated administration of justice on the simple question of right or wrong. He saves two accused brothers from the death penalty and is rewarded with appreciation of his lawyer's colleagues. Not before 1972 this cinematic plea for juridical authority of the state and against self-justice premiered in the German-speaking countries.
