Tlatelolco is a documentary about the eponymous district in Mexico City. The focus is on the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, a square steeped in history where architectural witnesses of three different cultures and epochs meet: the ruins of the Aztec temple of Tlatelolco, the 17th-century Spanish cathedral Templo de Santiago and the Torre de Tlatelolco office tower, built in an international style in 1964. The film portrays the place from the perspective of its postmodern architecture, shedding light on its historical importance and related political events.
