MY HUSTLER
My Hustler is the first narrative Warhol film in which he also cut “within the camera”, which means he didn´t just let the camera record until the end of the film role but stopped deliberately. Two short flashes (blank pictures) on the first film role clearly show this. Moreover, Warhol breaks away from the static camera, sways and zooms wildly around. Also, psychological relations between people are shown more emphatically than before. The ambivalence between game and reality is not always transparent.
