In 1993 Wim Wenders presented IN WEITER FERNE, SO NAH! at the Viennale. He talked to Werner Herzog who served together with Reinhard Pyrker as a director of the festival in 1990 (while it was just a so-called "Novemberkino") and 1991. In those years Herzog choosed to live in Vienna for private reasons. Later he moved across the Atlantic in order to restart his career. Thus it is no coincidence that both directors talked about different concepts of feeling at home, finding identities and differences between European films and Hollywood
