Become a jury member and award the STANDARD Audience Jury Prize at the Viennale from October 19 to October 31!
Do you find the conventional range of films in the cinema too monotonous? Do you like to discover new, challenging, cross-genre films?
DER STANDARD is looking for three film lovers or simply cinema enthusiasts who, as STANDARD audience jury, will select one film from twelve Viennale festival entries that has not yet found a distributor in Austria by the time of the festival. The winning film will receive advertising space worth 25,000 euros from STANDARD. Interested?

In addition to their main task - viewing and discussing the films together - the STANDARD Audience Jury is also a guest at all Viennale festivities during the festival and has the opportunity to get to know international filmmakers and the Viennale team.
The twelve festival entries in the competition for the STANDARD Audience Jury Prize are divided among thirteen festival days. The viewing of all twelve films is obligatory for each jury member. For the duration of the festival from October 19 to 31, you should therefore have time off or be very flexible in terms of time.
Jury sessions will also be held between the screenings, and you will of course be able to see other Viennale films with your accreditation in addition to the jury films.
DER STANDARD looks forward to receiving your application with a letter of motivation and CV by Friday, October 6, 2023 at the latest. The STANDARD film editorial team will select three jury members from all applicants by Friday, October 13.
