Argo
On november 4, 1979, at the height of the Iranian revolution, an enraged mob stormed the US Embassy in Teheran. Militant students took 52 Americans hostage. Amidst the chaos, six people managed to escape to the nearby residence of the Canadian ambassador. But it’s only a matter of time before the Americans are discovered, and their lives are on the line. In order to get the fugitives to safety, experienced CIA agent Tony Mendez suggests a risky strategy. He plans to simulate the filming of a fictional project called ARGO and disguise the six countrymen as members of the crew in order to smuggle them past Iranian forces. And so he sets off on a dangerous journey with his fake film crew.
