This second program, Austrian Film Heritage, focuses on the legacy of Hans Otto Löwenstein. The highlight will be the screening of Oberst Redl, Löwenstein’s take on the career of Colonel Alfred Redl who was involved in one of the biggest spy scandals of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In addition, the Filmarchiv Austria will present his short film Wie Ninette zu ihrem Ausgang kam, a commercial commissioned by an Austrian pharmacist, and Die Vorführung der ins Feld gehenden vom K. K. Kriegministerium neu geschaffenen Feld-Sanitäts-Autokolonne, a propaganda piece on war ambulances. (Andrea Schellner)
