Jean-Pierre Léaud plays Jacques Laurent, a fashionable porno filmmaker in the 1970s, who has returned to the business after experiencing some financial problems. Several years previously, he fell out with his son, who disapproved of his father's activities, but suddenly they are reunited at a crucial time. While Jacques is trying to figure out some closure in his life, his son, now 17, is looking for meaning in his own, and together they reach an equilibrium. Although it features strong sexual content this is essentially a film about fatherhood. (Damon Wise)
