Kim Knowles ist Wissenschaftlerin und Kuratorin und lebt in Wales. Seit 2008 kuratiert sie die „Black Box“-Reihe des Edinburgh International Film Festival und hat zahlreiche Bücher, Artikel und Buchbeiträge verfasst, zuletzt Experimental Film and Photochemical Practices (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020).
