Wie die Kamera die Unterwelt betritt: Am Ufer der Arve evoziert Pagliai ihre Kindheit. Lose inspiriert vom Mythos des Orpheus folgt der Film den sanften Strömungen des Flusses, mäandernd zwischen den Welten, während sich aus bedrohlicher Dunkelheit und schwarzer Einsamkeit doch ein harmonisches Bild schält. Nur noch der Atem des Kindes verweist dann auf konkrete Körperlichkeit – und in jener perfekten Einstellung am Ende der Reise, in der ein Mädchen mit dem friedlichen Höllenwachhund Kerberos spielt, währt die Kindheit ewig.
