Born 1960 in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, is a German film editor and director. She is one of the leading editors in Germany and has already edited more than 80 feature, documentary and television films. She has been working as an editor since 1985, beginning with DU MICH AUCH by Dani Levy. She has worked with Christoph Schlingensief for many years, including editing TERROR 2000 (1992) and DIE 120 TAGE VON BOTTROP (1997). Bettina Böhler works regularly with filmmakers of the "Berlin School", especially with Christian Petzold and Valeska Grisebach.  In 2007, she was awarded the Bremen Film Prize for many years of service to European film and has already been nominated twice for the German Film Prize. She was a lecturer at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) for 20 years. Bettina Böhler is a member of the European Film Academy, the Academy of Arts Berlin and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
