And again documentary pictures from all over Soviet Russia, this time shot as a commissioned work for the 50-year celebration of the revolution. Uldis Brauns (with the well-known Latvian documentary filmmaker Herz Frank as author) presents his film as a wordless essay; shows weddings, small children, families on the beach and in the snow, at work and in their spare time, and again and again just faces, serious, doubtful, laughing. The propaganda pride of the revolutionary era has disappeared, instead, skepticism becomes perceptible, a questioning of images and conditions.

On Oct. 13 with an introduction by Naum Kleiman und Artiom Sopin.
