Metro Kinokulturhaus

Filmmaking for Lav Diaz is a free, living process, a moving flow. "I actually only make one film," is how he describes it himself, and not just in terms of the length of his works. One of the most important representatives of Philippine cinema, Diaz shows in a multi-layered way the hardships of the people during the authoritarian Marcos era and in the diaspora under the yoke of Spanish and American colonization. He will hold a masterclass in cooperation with the Verband Filmregie Österreich.
