Zeit zu gehen («Time to Go») is a film about dying in Vienna's Caritas Socialis Rennweg hospice. It follows the last months, weeks and days in the life of five people suffering from incurable cancer. Through pain therapy, temporary symptom relief and intensive care they have time to say goodbye and part in dignity. The film allows time to watch the interaction between the hospice team, patients and relatives as well as time to listen to the bird chirping and sounds that change with the beginning of autumn. In an open and quite humorous way, the protagonists reveal what's on their mind and their views on dying, death and afterlife. It becomes quite clear: In the face of death things revolve around life.
