X is a social satire, that takes a poke at the crassness of popular culture and the American publics acquiescence to commercial and political propaganda. X was produced by Emile de Antonio and stars the late filmmaker Stan van der Beek as the enigmatic Mr. X. X was produced on a tiny budget thanks to the generosity of local filmmakers and laboratories who supplied equipment and short ends of film stock.
