A WALK INTO THE SEA: DANNY WILLIAMS AND THE WARHOL FACTORY
A Walk into the Sea: Danny Williams and the Warhol Factory is director Esther Robinson's attempt to uncover what happened to her uncle, Danny Williams, who was Warhol's lighting designer, lover, and a promising filmmaker before his unexplained disappearance in 1966. The trigger for the documentary was the discovery of twenty short films by Williams at New York's MOMA: «Once I saw my uncle's films, I knew I had to make a film about him.» Robinson's captivating documentary includes clips from Williams' shorts plus interviews with family and Factory stars such as director Paul Morrissey, poet Gerard Malanga and musician John Cale.
