Time dissociated from space; movement as a way to be within reality; a lack of regard for the rules of continuity, and an unceasing search for cinematic perspectives constitute the poetics of Williams’ films. Here, a descriptive and rhizomatic poem written in Spanish by Blatt and a couple of frantically moving shots (where we see mostly members of a queer community in Guinea-Bissau) clash with one other and challenge – in terms of perception and semantics – the entire interpretative and receptive endeavor. The result is a mutant portrait of globalized youth in the digital era. (Roger Koza)
