Patssi Valdez, one of the most important artists of the Chicano Rebellion, achieved her greatest fame as a painter, but her production has been multifaceted. Her videos have been overshadowed by those of her ASCO colleague Harry Gamboa Jr., but her work is equally intriguing. In Hot Pink, she encapsulates an era with the simplest of means.
