Jarvis Cocker, frontman of the british cult band Pulp, is represented through two films in this year's Viennale program. On the one hand THE BIG MELT based on film material from the BFI archives about Cocker's home town Sheffield screens. The same developed under the co-direction and to the sound of  Jarvis Cocker. On the other hand the music documentary PULP: A FILM ABOUT LIFE, DEATH AND SUPERMARKETS, a portrait of the band and the people in the streets of Sheffield around them screens.

The Viennale is pleased to announce a special PULP screening on occasion of the attendance of Jarvis Cocker on November 6 at 12.00 pm at Stadtkino at Künstlerhaus.
